It seems that most players are quite happy with the recently introduced Rush Poker feature at Full Tilt Poker and after trying it out for a few hours I have to agree with the majority that it’s a pretty cool idea. It’s not a 100% great feature though – it certainly has some disadvantages. On the other hand it’s incredibly entertaining. Full Tilt is marketing Rush Poker as extremely fast paced, and that’s no exaggeration.

The Microgaming Network announced this past Thursday that it is taking step to curb data mining of hand histories such as those that led to the Isildur1 controversy. From this point on, any sites on the network will no longer save hand histories on players computers and users will no longer be able to download hand histories in bulk. There are many players that are heralding this decision and thinks that sites such as Full Tilt and PokerStars should follow suit. However, has anyone stopped to think about a few things that this type of policy could bring about? Remember the Pitbull Poker scandal? What was one of the things that tipped players off that something was amiss? The fact that the site would not give out hand histories.

Do any of you still watch professional wrestling? I was thinking about how that online poker and wrestling have some similarities. Hear me out: In pro wrestling, you have men and women that come out to perform in front of a crowd, and they think they are the next best thing since sliced bread. In reality, not many people outside of Wal-Mart probably know who they are. In online poker, you have players that think that they are God's gift to poker, and they must tell everyone they are playing against in the $1 sit and go just how great that they are.

So now there is a controversy brewing regarding Isildur1's losses to Brian Hastings. Hastings told Gary Wise of ESPN. com that “Obviously I'm happy and I'll take it, but Brian [Townsend] did a ton of work. The three of us discussed a ton of hands and the reports that Brian made, so I'm very thankful to him and to Cole as well.
