Contrary to popular belief, there is more going on this weekend than just parties.   Several events are still underway at the 2010 WSOP including the $25,000 NL, the $10,000 PL Omaha World Championship, and yes, event the Tournament of Champions.  Well, sort of. *Dan Kelly Wins $25,000 Six-Handed NL Event* Dan Kelly survived a strong final table to take down the $25,000 Six-Handed NL Event and over $1.

While Melissa and many others are out getting plastered tonight, there are still several events going on at Day 36 of the 2010 World Series of Poker.   The $25,000 NL Event has a final table set and the Limit Holdem Shootout is down to just four players.   Tom Dwan leads the $10,000 PL Omaha Championship with 66 players left and Day 1b of the last $1,000 NL Event is winding down. *Frank Kassela a Formality Away from 2010 WSOP Player of the Year* Frank Kassela has made the final table of the $25,000 Six-Handed NL Holdem Event.

Yueqi Zhu earlier today was disqualified from Event #53 of the World Series of Poker.   The event is the $1,500 Limit Holdem Shootout and each table during a round is played to a winner.   In Round 1 action yesterday, Zhu was heads-up on his table and his opponent was down to 6,000 in chips.   Zhu was not feeling well and a deal was struck between the two resulting in the player folding until Zhu was the winner.

Day 34 at the 2010 WSOP is moving right along with final tables in both the $1,000 NL, the $1,500 NL, and the $5,000 PLO.   Robert Mizrachi is in the PLO.   Otherwise, there aren't a lot of big names in the other final tables.  The high profile event of the day is the $25,000 Six-Handed NL Event.

WSOP Commentary - Addressing the Tournament of Champions Voting

A lot of players, fans, and the “poker media” have been giving their thoughts about selections for the Tournament of Champions and how they think that this player or that player has been slighted and that “there aren’t enough younger champions” etc. *Players That Were "Omitted" Had Not Done Enough* First, this is the WSOP Tournament of Champions. Those that argue a player based on their overall accomplishments are missing the boat on the purpose of this game. It is supposed to be an all-start game for WSOP Champions.
