Five Old School Players Deserving of Hall of Fame Consideration
I just glanced over an article written by Steve Ruddock on
33 candidates that he believes that deserve consideration
for the Poker Hall of Fame. While I don't agree with some of his choices, he does give a
solid selection of players and contributors who should at
least come up for a final vote amongst their peers. Below are my selections from Ruddock's list who should
receive consideration for the Poker Hall of Fame. Mike Caro and David Sklansky

Five Things that Annoy Me About Modern Day Poker Tournaments
The tournament circuit nowadays is very different of that
just 10 years ago. I started playing live tournaments in
2006 and in just a brief eight years there have been so many
changes that the it has become a different animal. Below are
some of the things that annoy me about modern tournaments. Re-Entry Tournaments

Black Friday Anniversary - Don't Expect Federal Legalization Anytime Soon
Today was the three-year anniversary of Black Friday. On
April 15, 2011, the majority of the poker world was freaking
out over their frozen bankrolls. In the days and weeks to follow, two things happened. First,
we found out that Full Tilt was essentially broke and that
UB was as insolvent as feared.

Looking Back on My 2011 Online Poker Predictions
Back in August of 2011, I wrote an article entitled "Five
Things You Will See Before Online Poker is Legalized in the
US. " This article was part prediction and part a call for
people to stop the insane talk that "legal online poker was
around the corner. "
I ran across this article today and decided to revisit my
predictions more than 2 and 1/2 years after making them. #5.

Five Reasons Pro Players Leave the Game
As many of you already know, former WSOP November Niner Sam
Holden has decided to step away from poker for a while to
pursue a degree in Philosophy. I have been thinking back on
several players who have left the game either by choice or
by necessity and the following seems to be the reasons
behind "pros" leaving the game. 1. Poker Becomes too Much of a Grind
2.

Positive Experiences With Pros Influenced Me To Continue With Poker
Gillian Epp wrote an editorial piece the other day over on
Ivey Poker that urged today's poker pro to be more social
friendly. If you haven't already read it, click here to read
her thoughts. Her piece, and the recent announcement that
Harrah's Tunica was closing, had me thinking about my first
time playing live poker down in Tunica, MS. The very first circuit event that I played, I was seated
with two well-known players on the live poke circuit.

Three Things We Will Learn From the Anti-Gambling Bill
The bill that would effectively ban online poker nationwide
is finally in the halls of Congress. The Restore America's
Wire Act looks to essentially make it illegal for online
poker and online casinos to operate in the US. It leaves
carve outs for lotteries, horse racing and already existing
exclusions. I'm not here to debate whether or not the bill will pass.
