Online Poker Very Risky for Iowans
Thereâs this ridiculous idea that Iowans need
protection from the outer world. Specifically, itâs
being claimed that âonline poker is very risky for
Iowans. â
This is the position of Rep. Dough Struyk of Iowa.
Many-Worlds Theory and Poker
Out of all the possible worlds out there in the multiverse,
is it possible that somewhere, Stu Ungar is still alive and
not playing poker but water polo? It is definitely worth
contemplating. However, I must admit that after thinking
about this conundrum for a few hours more questions have
been raised than I initially started out with. Ungar was originally a gin rummy player, which has to be
taken into the equation. If (and this is really a big if!)
Stu were to play water polo instead of poker, what type of
game would substitute for gin rummy? Some differential
equations that I hastily put together point to nude mountain
biking, but the uncertainties are substantial.

Ten Things that Interest Me More Than Tiger Woods' Infidelity
Tiger Wood held a press conference Friday to apologize for
his infidelity with his wife. So what. Here are some things
more interesting to me than Tiger Woods' ability to get
laid. Luke Schwartz Body Double for the Party Poker Premier League

Full Tilt Playing With Pandora's Box?
The big story over the last few days is the fact that it
appears that Full Tilt Poker has decided to enact a ban of
any events that are being held by PokerStars, more
specifically the NAPT (North American Poker Tour). A recent
charity event in Vegas was also snubbed by Full Tilt and
their red pros. The fact that Full Tilt is telling their players not to play
a PokerStars event does not concern me as much as it does
other. If Full Tilt does not want itâs players playing
on the NAPT, that hurt them and potentially their pros.

The Value of a Comfortable Chair
You canât overstress the link between a comfortable
chair and a successful poker session. On this most experts
agree â the evidence for the correlation between chair
comfortableness and bankroll fluctuation is indeed
overwhelming. Just look at the following graph:
Based on my measurements of over 300 players of varying
skill levels and different chair qualities, this clearly
shows that itâs not worth skimping on your sitting
area. Personally, Iâve invested in an exceptionally
pleasant powered massage chair with a hand-held wand for
easy operation.
What Did You Give Up for Lent???
Today is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. The start
of which is celebrated by Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday,
giving everyone the opportunity to over indulge in whatever
it is they may be giving up for the next 40 days and 40
nights. Poker players tend to overindulge in a lot of
things, given the fact that they live on a different
schedule than most people and are used to having anything
they want at any given time. I asked a few poker players
what it was they would give up for 40 days if they had to
choose.

A Big Warm Welcome For...Me!!!
Hey all just want to introduce myself- My names Melissa
Castello and I have been invited by Poker Junkie to keep you
all informed on whatâs happening in the poker world. I spent the last two years traveling to cover some of
the biggest poker tournaments from around the world. I've devoted hours to watching some of the best
players in the game work their magic, while at the same time
watching some of the worst players botch the game of
poker completely. My brain hurts from the countless bad beat
stories I've sat through, all while auto-nodding my
head followed by one of my standard replies - 'man I
hate when that happens, yeah that sucks, that's the worst',
or a simple 'brutal.

Worst Poker Related Jobs
What is the worst job one could have in poker? Many would
think that a dealer job would be scraping the bottom of the
barrel, but there may be some people at work with worse
jobs. #5. Jerry Yang's Agent
I am not certain, but I don't think this position was ever
actually filled. His lack of doing.

HSP6: Tight-Weak Hellmuth Loses and Quits
When the sixth season of High Stakes Poker sets off, Phil
Hellmuth quickly busts out and chooses not to rebuy. During the first few hands, Hellmuth collects a bunch of
really nice starting hands. Which he folds, either pre-flop
or after limping and missing the flop. He folds AQo preflop.
Top 10 Women in Poker
I figured that I would make a top 10 female list as well,
but containing the top 10 women that can actually play poker
as opposed to the top 10 that guys wish they could play
with. (Stats pulled from Hendon Mob. )
#10 - Barbara Enright - $1. 344 Million
I personally know Barbara and can tell you she is one of the
classiest ladies you will ever play with at the tables.
