Vanessa Selbst Licks the Competition
In case any of you happen to miss it, Vanessa Selbst won the
NAPT Main Event at the Mohegan Sun over the weekend. Yes,
you read that correct. A woman won a major open tournament. She took down the event and $750,000.

I Play Heads-Up for Rolls
Isildur1 has now officially become a pop icon. Fredrik
Thomson, Sohello Shah, and Joacim Gustavsson have
collaborated together to create a song for the mad Swede. Yes, you heard that right, a song. While the song isn't as catchy as "Playing Poker for a
Living" or "All-in", it is still funny as hell.

Poker bootcamp
It has been a very busy week and is promising to be a busy
weekend. Â Â My wife and two wonderful sons will be
leaving me to visit her family in Australia on Tuesday
morning, so I have been spending all the time I can with
them and getting very little else done (hence no posts this
week). Â Â But with them gone for 7 weeks I will have a
plethora of time on my hands. Â What ever shall I do?
Well first off I will be able to work alot.
Stick With What Works
The last week or so, I have been having a really up and down
week. I decided to start playing more PLO cash games as it
is one game that I have very little cash game experience. I
have been told from my play in tournaments that my style is
"too tight and predictable. " At the same time, the only two
PLO tourneys I have ever played in have resulted in a 8th
place finish and a win.

Chat, Play, and Sue the Pros at Full Tilt Poker
As many of you have already heard, Full Tilt Poker has
become the online poker whipping boy lately. First, a
federal grand jury is set to prosecute Full Tilt on money
laundering charges. They are also going after Howard
Lederer, Chris Ferguson, and several others. Kentucky has
also filed their own complaint, but they have specifically
stated that they are going to sue and attempt to recover the
money lost by players from March 25, 2005 and September 25,
2009.

Making Money from Rakeback - Fact or Fiction?
6 April 2010
You hear it all the time, online grinders claiming that they
make most of their money from rakeback. Iâm sorry but thatâs just upside-down. Rakeback means that you get back a piece of the money
youâve paid to the poker room. How could you make money
by first paying money and then getting part of it back?
It doesnât make sense.
