Women Being Told to Piss Off Over WSOP Bathroom Situation
A little subdrama that has been going on at the 2012 WSOP
over the first couple of days has been the bathroom
situation. Essentially, what has happened is that the men have more
bathrooms than the ladies. On Day 1 both main hallway bathrooms near the Pavilion Room
were designated as men's bathrooms and the ladies had to
hoof it down to the dealer's entrance in order to use the
restroom. On Day 2 it appeared that one of those bathrooms at the
dealer's entrance got changed to a men's room and that out
of six potential restrooms, women only have two now and none
in the tournament area.

2012 WSOP Kicks Off and WSOP TD Gets Rid of Extra Baggage
The 2012 World Series of Poker kicked off earlier today with
the Casino Employees Event. This will be the slowest day at
the WSOP for a while as it is the only event running today,
meaning that tomorrow is when the Rio will start to get a
little crazy. So far, it appears that the numbers for the event will be a
bit down. Right now there are around 733 players registered
for the event and as such will have a decent drop off from
the 850 players from last year.

Uses for Your Full Tilt Installation CD's
Earlier today, I was looking for a small mirror and wound up
grabbing an old Full Tilt installation cd. Â Probably the
first time I have ever used it for any purpose whatsoever. It got me to thinking about the millions of disks around the
world that are now just collecting dust. Â There has got
to be something more to do with them than just junk them
right? Here are some ideas.

The Micros Reimaged as a Web Cartoon Strip
It appears that The Micros has decided to abandon the
concept of online web series in lieu of a web comic series. I won't say that I am shocked by this considering the
deteriorating quality of the web series or the fact that
they don't have any financial "motivation" to keep a web
series running. The great thing about the new comic series is that we should
get a regular stream of content for the wildly popular
series. In addition, they should be able to crank out
quality material without having to shove weeks or months of
material in one episode.

My Nominations for the 2012 Women in Poker Hall of Fame
Nominations for the Women in Poker Hall of
Fame[http://womenspokerhalloffame. com/wiphof/nominations/]
are now being accepted and I have once again filled out my
nomination for this year's class. Anyone that knows me or has followed my blogs should not be
surprised at one of my nominations and anyone that knows my
appreciation for poker's past should not be surprised of my
other nomination. My first nomination was for Annie Duke.

WSOP Now Allowing You to Speak and Celebrate in Moderation
Some of you that watched the live coverage of the 2011 WSOP
Main Event may remember Daniel Negreanu throwing a mild
tantrum when he wasn't allowed to talk during a hand at the
featured table. When this went down, I voiced my opinion that I would not be
surprised to see that rule changed before the 2012 WSOP. I wish I had put some money on that.

The WSOP Goes Down Under
When the World Series of Poker expanded to Europe, some of
us wondered if that would be the first step in the WSOP
offering bracelet events worldwide. That day has finally arrived as the WSOP announced on Monday
that the WSOP Asia-Pacific will commence in April 2013. The event will be held at the Crown Casino in Melbourne
Australia and will feature five bracelet events its first
year. The deal that was announced was a multi-year one, so
this is not just a one-time event.

Amarillo Slim Last of a Breed Poker Will Never See Again
On Sunday, the poker world lost one of its legendary road
gamblers as Amarillo Slim passed away at the age of 83. I didn't know Slim and only got to cover him one time, but
the one time I did get to cover him at the 2008 WSOP ended
up producing a story that was classic Slim. Most of you know which company I worked with in 2008
covering the event. One of our field reporters, Neal, was
easily the tallest guy on our field reporter staff.

Things to Do Instead of Trolling 2+2 Forums
Yesterday, TwoPlusTwo forums were shut down after a hacker
proved that he had the ability to both access email
addresses and decrypt passwords. Most of the evening was spent by 2+2 members obsessing over
passwords and overcoming withdrawal symptoms. Â Personally, I went to an auction. The forum remains closed while they work on a way to patch
things up.

PokerStars Spending $750 Million to Become Virtual Online Poker Monopoly?
I woke up on Tuesday around Noonish and sat down to my
computer to see what the current buzz was regarding the
poker world. As some of you know, I do some legal article writing for
another site and when I sat down to look at that site's
twitter, there were 125 new tweets to read. Immediately I
knew something was up and then I see it. "PokerStars Purchases Full Tilt Poker for $750 Million.
