Shannon Elizabeth Plays for Mansion Poker
Known from the American Pie movies and other productions, Shannon Elisabeth has displayed real poker talent in a number of competitions. Starting in Aussie Million 2008, she'll be playing big live poker tournaments in Mansion gear.
Poker show, Elizabeth has made a handful of strong results in authentic poker tournaments as well. Four money finishes in WSOP 2006 and WSOP 2007 are a truly nice series that's bound to see a sequel in a very prompt future.
Although, Elizabeth played her most moving role when finishing third in the $25,000 No Limit Hold'em NBC National Heads-Up Championship in 2007. After having defeated several big names like Barry Greenstein, Jeff Madsen and Humberto Brenes, it took a Paul Wasicka in top form to bring a tragic end to that story.
Shannon now declares that she sees poker as a "second career" - no wonder with those achievements. With Aussie Millions 2008 she leaves the Full Tilt Poker family to join Mansion Poker.
Mansion Poker is known as the young online poker room that offered frequent guaranteed tournaments with very good overlay. Recently though, Mansion left its self-chosen isolation and joined the Ongame Network, presently the fifth largest network worldwide.
This has meant more games and more players at the site, but also less overlay in the guaranteed tournaments. Nevertheless, twice a week there are tournaments with guaranteed prize pools larger than $100,000. The value is still great.
