Full Review of Full Tilt Poker
Summary of Full Tilt Poker
With its genuine dedication to poker, Full Tilt has become a real market leader. They have acquired a huge player base, although that has taken a bit of a hit with the recent legal action in the US.
Still, at this writing, Full Tilt Poker is the second biggest online poker room after Poker Stars.
Full Tilt Poker is endorsed by lots of well known poker pros such as Chris Ferguson, Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer and Jennifer Harman. They regularly play and chat at all levels on the site.
Full Tilt Poker uses proprietary software and is not part of any poker network. There is also a poker client available for Mac users.
For detailed information on this site, study this Full Tilt Poker review.
Promotions and Bonus Information
In addition to the generous Full Tilt Poker bonus for new players, the site offers reload bonuses at regular intervals. You receive one player point for each dollar raked from pots in which you were dealt a hand. Bonuses are then released when you’ve collected the required number of points.
To become eligible for the bonus, you don’t need a specific Full Tilt Poker Bonus code. Sign up from this review and you’ll get our bonus offer promoted here.
In addition, there are many high-value promotions such as daily Full Tilt poker tournaments with guaranteed prize pools ($5 million each week) and satellites to major live events.
When you play real-money games at Full Tilt, tournaments or cash games, you earn player points that can be exchanged for various merchandise as well as for tournament tickets.
Poker Traffic
Although FullTiltPoker.com is an independent poker room and is not part of a large network, it's one of the biggest poker rooms today.
There is always a massive amount of Texas Holdem tables available, and the player volume in other games is also huge compared to most other sites. During peak hours in March 2010 there were 12,500 cash game players active simultaneously.
Software & Graphics
FullTiltPoker.com has a somewhat different but nice-looking poker client with cartoon-like avatars and appealing backdrops. They recently released an update that added more features, including "Rush Poker" - an entirely new and ultra-fast way to play poker. As soon as you fold, you are moved to a new table and get a new hand. Rush Poker is an absolute must for action junkies.
If you want to clear a promotion quickly, a good way is to go for a rush poker bonus. Since you get a new hand as soon as you have folded, and can play up to 250 hands per hour, the bonus will be cleared in no-time. However, let us just give you some rush poker tips: Stop playing when you feel like you’re going on tilt, stick to ABC-poker and don’t try to “read” opponents – they’re new in every hand.
As you would expect from one of the world's leading poker rooms, the overall functionality is excellent, with comprehensive statistics, player notes and a very high level of stability and security.
You can resize the tables freely, a great feature that has become standard at the best online poker sites, but is often missing at smaller sites. A small setback in the Full Tilt Poker client is the font used for player names and chip stacks – it’s very densely spaced and really quite hard to read in white on black.
The Full Tilt client has some very innovative functionality. For example you can set up default values for your buy-in and rebuy at cash tables. There are also numbers of choices for the table view, with different backgrounds, avatars etc. You can also customize the poker lobby in a number of ways.
Multi-table play works smoothly and you can play as much as eight tables simultaneously. The cartoon style of the software provides a rather relaxed atmosphere with a slightly different feel to it than the average poker room. It’s nice that the pros have their own portraits as avatars (mostly.)
You can make a Full Tilt Poker download for both PC and MAC.
Game Variety
When it comes to game variety, Full Tilt Poker really stands out in the crowd. Besides the commonly offered Holdem, Omaha and (to a lesser degree) 7-Card Stud, you can also play Razz and a number of mixed games like H.O.R.S.E. and H.O.S.E. These are combinations of Holdem, Omaha Hi-Lo, 7-Card Stud, 7-Card Stud Hi-Lo and Razz. In addition Full Tilt offers its own Rush Poker - super fast games in Holdem and Omaha where you're moved to a new table at the end of each hand!
As opposed to many smaller poker rooms, at Full Tilt you are likely to find a fair amount of traffic even in games other than the big ones (Holdem and Omaha). Full Tilt Poker also hosts a lot of different tournaments with buy-ins from $1 to the thousands. Many Full Tilt Poker tournaments feature guaranteed prize pools, and you’ll always find good satellites to the big events.
There are plenty of freerolls too, often with loose and soft play. What’s more, not all of them are played out in Texas Holdem! Once in a while there’s a tournament on Omaha or H.O.R.S.E. too.
