Me

I love this game – it’s just too bad that most poker players suck. The strange thing about poker is that it seems that nobody loose. The only poker pro I ever met who has admitted to have a loosing year is Barry Greenstein and he’s one of the best out there. So where do all the money come from? It’s still a mystery to me. Even though I’ve lost amounts that would support a small Caribbean nation while tilted and have gone bust more times than I like to admit, I’m still up more than enough to live the easy life. Well I guess some things just don’t add up. I started playing online back in 2001 and it’s been a rollercoaster ride ever since.

In my blog I’ll try to cover this strange and beautiful world of poker. But let’s be clear about one thing – it’s not real life we’re talking about here. The poker players I know couldn’t keep a day job for two weeks if their life depended on it. And yes it is true – most online pros under 40 still live with their parents.

When you’re eliminated from any WSOP event – especially the Main Event – you just don’t want to think about it. It hurts too much. You don’t necessarily want to tell everyone about your bad Read More

WSOP Deflated and Outdated

June 14th, 2010
WSOP has become the IKEA of poker. Sell as many cheapish events as possible to as many players as possible. “A bracelet in every home!” seems to be the motto here. Then by all means, Read More

Online Poker not Illegal

June 1st, 2010
It’s worth repeating: Playing online poker is not illegal. There’s no law against playing online poker. The infamous UIGEA prevents financial institutions from transfering funds to online gambling sites. That’s all. I mean, that’s bad enough, Read More

I Support Bodog’s Support of Tiger Woods

While I don’t actively support cheating on your spouse, I also don’t support turning such an event into a national interest. It’s all between the involved parties, and it’s got nothing to do with Read More
