M Mizrachi 429x287
During the 2010 WSOP, Michael Mizrachi was sporting a patch from Deliverance Poker. Nobody really knew much about the site, other than the fact that Mizrachi was a sponsored pro by the site. However, once he went deep into the Main Event, Mizrachi started sporting a Full Tilt Poker logo. Now, Mizrachi is being sued by Deliverance Poker.

What Have You Done For Me Lately? PokerStars Cuts Pros

1 8 September 2010 , By: compncards
Havad Khan 430x286
It looks like PokerStars has decided to trim down their roster of sponsored pros.   Havad Khan, Gavin Griffin, and Peter Eastgate are no longer with the site. First, the cutting of Peter Eastgate is not surprising.  He's no longer playing poker and as such should not be sponsored.

Phil Ivey
The Poker Hall of Fame has just released the names of the Top 10 finalists that will be voted on by the Hall of Fame committee. I thought I would take a few minutes and go over my thoughts on the 10 finalists. The 10 nominees are: Chris "Jesus" Ferguson Barry Greenstein Dan Harrington Phil Ivey Linda Johnson Tom McEvoy Jennifer Harman-Traniello Daniel Negreanu Scotty Nguyen Erik Seidel The criteria for induction into the Hall of Fame is as follows: A player must have played poker against acknowledged top competition Played for high stakes Played consistently well, gaining the respect of peers Stood the test of time Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results *Chris "Jesus" Ferguson* *Prediction:* *Barry Greenstein* * * *Prediction:* *Dan Harrington* Harrington on Hold'em* * *Prediction:* *Phil Ivey* *Prediction:* *Linda Johnson* * * *Prediction:* *Tom McEvoy* *Prediction:* *Jennifer Harman-Traniello* *Prediction:* *Daniel Negreanu* *Prediction:* *Scotty Nguyen* *Prediction:* Only a Barry Greenstein induction stops Seidel from going into the Hall of Fame this year. Gus Hansen - Maybe It's Time to Retire

5 1 September 2010 , By: compncards
Gus Hansen
Back in the day, Gus Hansen’s seemingly reckless style of play was winning him WPT titles and Hansen was considered one of the best poker players on the planet. I put that as a big was after some of the astonishing numbers that were recently published about him. For the month of August, Hansen has lost $2. 85 Million on Full Tilt Poker.
