The November Nine kicks off tomorrow, November 6 at the Rio in Las Vegas.   As during the rest of the 2011 WSOP, I'll be following along all of the action and bringing you blogs and recaps from the event. Remember that the final table will be broadcast on ESPN2 and ESPN3 starting at 3:30 PM tomorrow.  Hole cards will be shown at the completion of each and every hand for the major players involved in the hands.

Bwin.Party to Try and Take Over the Online Poker World

Bwin.Party 314x300
Many months ago, I made a prediction that when online poker becomes legalized, Bwin. Party will become the #1 site in all of online poker[[sitetree_link,id=13]]. That prediction is looking more likely than ever to come true after Bwin. party announced a partnership with MGM and Boyd Gaming that will create a new US online poker [[sitetree_link,id=596]]conglomerate once poker is regulated in America.

Looks like the Full Tilt Poker press release writer got a new job working for the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. The following was the press release sent out by the KGC on Friday: "Since the actions taken by the US Attorney'€™s Office for the Southern District of New York (the SDNY€) on April 15, 2011, the Commission has been in close and regular discussions with its licensee, Blanca Games Inc. (Blanca€), operating as Absolute Poker and UB. com (€œAP/UB€), to facilitate the reimbursement of both US and non-US players.

Nailed 2011 Hall of Fame Voting and 2012 Hall of Fame Predictions

PokerHallOfFame 390x300
I told you so. Today, the World Series of Poker announced that Barry Johnson and Linda Johnson will be the newest inductees into the Poker Hall of Fame. Barry seemed the obvious choice to me. He had the best pedigree of those on the finalist list in regards to overall poker prowess.

Harrah's Cherokee - What a Bummer

Cherokee 400x300
Earlier this week, I spent a couple of days in Cherokee, NC. My primary reason for going was to check out Harrah’s Cherokee. While I am not a huge fan of many Harrah’s properties, this is the only casino option in the state and the poker room was supposed to be a fairly hopping place. I want to know whose definition of hopping they were using.

WSOP Europe Predictions Revisited

Mizrachi 430x286
The WSOP Europe has reached their final table with Shawn Buchanan, Chris Moorman, and Jake Cody headlining.   Normally I would wait until after Main Event was finished to update my predictions, but since none of my predictions are impacted by the final table, I figured I would go ahead and share how I did. *Phil Hellmuth Will Have One Strong Showing and May Take the POY Lead - Push* After Hellmuth whiffed Events 2 through 7, I almost considered this a loss, but since my wording said "may take the lead" I get to call this a push.   I know, I am angle shooting my own predictions.

WSOP Makes Logical Move With Live Coverage of November Nine

Mothership 430x286
The World Series of Poker announced on Sunday that the final table of the 2011 WSOP Main Event would be broadcast semi-live and with hole cards. This complements the live coverage that the WSOP provided during the summer on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN3. com. While this seemed the next logical step for the November Nine, I still applaud the WSOP for taking this step forward with the final-table broadcast.

Hellmuth 11 400x300
The World Series of Poker Europe just kicked off on Friday at Casino Barriere de Cannes Croisette and the Hôtel Majestic Barrière in Cannes, France. Here are some of my predictions for this years WSOP-E. *Phil Hellmuth Will Have at Least 1 Strong Showing and May Take POY Lead* Phil Hellmuth has been on a tear at the WSOP this year and I believe that he will continue it through the WSOP-E.

Poker Hall of Fame Predictions - Part 2

1 7 October 2011 , By: compncards
Linda Johnson 233x300
Yesterday, I gave my thoughts on five of the ten finalists for the 2011 Poker Hall of Fame class. Today I will round out my predictions and tell you who I think the other person that will be inducted this year. *Annie Duke* - This nomination surprised me, but yet it didn't surprise me. Nobody can deny her track record.
