The new face of Fein energy drink, John Racener, hasn’t been getting much sleep these days, but is it energy drink overload? I would probably guess the answer would be all the nerves, excitement, and build up surrounding the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event final table happening in less than 24 hours.

“I’m extremely excited, I don’t really feel nervous or anything because this is what I do. It’s just something that I’m used to doing, playing poker; obviously it’s the biggest stage I’ll ever be on. I’ve had visions and dreams about hands at the final table, I’m thinking about it 24/7.”

John has been playing poker for several years now and is feeling pretty confident about his play. He opted to not get training and decided to spend his break traveling to London and Cypress to play poker. He did take the time to watch some of the coverage but knows that with editing it’s hard to pick up on tells from an opponent and feels confident his opponents picked up nothing on him.

“I think ESPN did a really good job; the only thing about it is they don’t really show how long players actually think about hands so it doesn’t show the full affect on how intense it was in some situations.”

“From what I hear a lot of the players have been saying good things about me. As from what they’ve seen I don’t think there was much to pick up on.”

Besides for an overload of press, interviews, and fans stopping him on the street, John’s life is pretty much the same. Well plus an extra million in the pocket (at least) and a national energy drink commercial airing. He’s also seen an overwhelming amount of Facebook friends pouring in. If John thinks it's getting bad just look at Joe Sebok with one-million followers on Twitter, John still has a long way to go!

“I’ve never friend requested anybody but I had about 500 friends coming in and now I have about 1000. Every day when I wake up I probably accept about 10 friend requests it’s pretty unbelievable.”

Good luck to John!! He will be railed tomorrow by plenty of family and friends who have been very supportive of him even long before he shot into stardom. He also has the support of Poker Junkie blogger Compncards and from what I've seen I'd have to agree that Racener has a real shot at takig down the 2010 WSOP Main Event.
