2010 World Series of Poker Day 3 - Day 1b of $1,000 NL Underway

Today kicked off Day 1b of the $1,000 NL Holdem Event here at the 2010 WSOP. As some of you know, blogger Frank Wilburn registered in this event. I personally did not get here in time to see this event kick off but Frank did hang in there long enough for me to get there and get a shot of him. Looks like he is having my Day 1a yesterday.
The first bracelet ceremony of this WSOP was today. Hoai Pham took down the $500 Casino Employee's Event last night. Don't worry if you have no clue that he is. Nobody else will in about 3 dayâs time.
Pham and his wife actually stopped me in the hallway and asked where they could get the bracelet engraved. It is kind of funny but everyone seems to be asking me questions about where to go etc. Yesterday this really hot Swedish woman asked me where she could get her media credential, etc. Naturally, I forgot to introduce myself. (Doh.)
My camera is a tad bit evil. There is a book booth in front of the Pavilion that is run by two hot girls. I got their pictures for this blog. They all turned out worse than desired. Hell with it. I am STILL going to post the best of the bunch. I donât care if they are poker books. Hot girls selling books is hot. This is the way to get the young men of America interested in reading ladies and gentleman. Hot girls + books = Genius!
As I said earlier, Day 1b of the $1,000 NL event is underway. The event had a nice turnout but the real action doesnât start until tomorrow. I did catch Dave âDevilFishâ Ulliott in the crowd. Check out his shirt.
Anywho, the other events that will play today is Day 3 of the $50,000 Playerâs Championship and the $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo Event. The Poker Playerâs Championship just resumed about 20 minutes ago and the Omaha Hi-Lo event kicks off at 5 p.m. PDT.
Iâll be back later this evening with an update on all the action and any happenings I happen to run across. Keep following PokerJunkie.com for continuing coverage of the 2010 World Series of Poker.
