WSOP 2009 Schedule Released

The 2009 WSOP schedule is official. Most interesting: final table in November and a brutal start with a $40K no limit holdem Event 2.
Yes, there will be a 2009 World Series of Poker. If anyone had doubted it. Harrah's trying to sell WSOP doesn't mean the money making machine will stop grinding.
The 2009 WSOP schedule contains a similar mix as last year. A total of 57 events with focus on holdem variations but with loads of Omaha, Stud and HORSE competitions as well.

The $50K HORSE event is there, of course. After three years, it's almost as mandatory as the Main Event.
The Main Event is a $10,000 no limit holdem event - as always. But this year it recedes yet another inch from the territory which had so long been undisputed.
With the boosting of Event 2 into a $40,000 no limit holdem event, the series takes a kick start like never before. The 40K event is in celebration of the 40th birthday of the WSOP.
A smart way to get the action going. But also another potential devaluation of the Main Event.
