Ryback Doesn't Get It: Ryan Reeves Leaves WWE Over Pay Dispute
This is my first blog in a while and I'll deviate from poker
for a bit to talk about a story in wrestling that has come
to a head in the past week. *Ryan Reeves*, better known to the WWE Universe as Ryback,
recently announced that he is "no longer doing business"
with the WWE. Ryback has been off of TV for a few months now after WWE
officials sent him home over a dispute over pay. He's been contending for a while that mid- and lower-card
wrestlers should be paid better than they are and, while I
can understand his beef, at the same time he doesn't really
seem to get the realities of the pro wrestling world.
This Season's WWE Tough Enough is Tough to Watch
Have you been watching Tough Enough?
If not, you might consider yourself fortunate. I've always supported the Tough Enough concept in the past
because the show has been successful in producing some
future talent for the WWE and in many cases, it was great
television. Then we get the current piece of crap being passed off as
tough enough. I saved the Christmas rush and started hating the new
concept from the first episode.

Dusty Rhodes - A Man Who Made His Own American Dream
The American Dream Dusty Rhodes passed away last week at the
age of 69. That's the same age as my dad. It is also a somber reminder
that the golden age of wrestling is over and that its
superstars are beginning to fade from the limelight. Look at whom we've lost in recent years.

WWE Royal Rumble to Kick Off Predictable WrestleMania 31 Season
It is once again WrestleMania season and as is the case
every year, we now are looking forward to who will win the
Royal Rumble and headline WrestleMania XXXI in the Main
Event. There's just one problem. Everything is a little bit too
predictable. We all know that wrestling is heavily scripted, etc.

Brock Lesnar's Victory Could Be Best Thing to Happen for John Cena's Career
When Brock Lesnar was scheduled to take on John Cena this
past weekend at SummerSlam, we figured Brock was going to
walk out of the arena with the title. However, did any of us
actually expect the one-sided massacre that befell the man
considered one of the greatest WWE Champions in history?
Nobody saw this coming. And it was the best thing that could
have happened to John Cena. I am not an anti-Cena guy.
