According to reports, it looks like that Maria Ho and Tiffany Michelle are going to be contestants in the Amazing Race on CBS. Although word is not official, there are rumors and a pic that shows Ho waiting for filming to begin for the Amazing Race at LAX. If true, Ho and Michelle will be the latest poker players that have turned into reality TV stars. Jean Robert Bellande was famous for his appearance on Survivor and Annie Duke finished runner-up in the previous season of Celebrity Apprentice.

In certain circles, some people are so respected that if they look favorably upon that person, that person is almost immediately elevated. For example, back in the days when Johnny Carson ran the Tonight Show, if a comedian was invited to come sit and talk with Carson, that comedian’s career was made. Comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld and even Jeff Dunham can attribute a great amount of their success due to Carson’s blessing. Doyle Brunson would be the equivalent figure in the poker world.

A big change in the rules at the World Series of Poker this year involved instituting a Player Code of Conduct. Now, a player can be penalized not only for abuse to other players, but also to dealers and floor staff. I think this is a fantastic policy that has been instituted. One thing that really irritates me is how that some players will treat dealers like dirt.
