Royal Flush Girls Leave and WPT Live Streaming Sucks

I wrote an editorial for the site earlier in the week about the changes for upcoming season of the World Poker Tour.  In it, I wrote how I wasn't a fan of Tony Dunst and that the Royal Flush Girls was another concept I wasn't that fond of.

Yesterday, both Melanie Iglesias and Michelle Banzer both resigned from the World Poker Tour.  Iglesias was among the most popular of the Royal Flush Girls and was voted on Maxim Magazine's Hot 100 List for 2011.

According to Iglesias, the WPT and her had their differences as well as other things that she can't discuss.  Banzer didn't go much into details.  Iglesias is supposed to have a new show on MTV2 soon, so that may be part of the reason.

The WPT stated that the two women were interested in pursuing other opportunities.

I'm not 100% certain I believe that "other opportunities" were the only issue here, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

You really can't blame the ladies to chase after other opps, especially at what may be the highlight of their fame.

Of course, I never was a fan of the RFG concept, so I am happy to see them move on.  I get tired of the "let's dangle some hot girls to attract male penis'" concept.

Also, I "attempted" to watch the "live stream" of the Legends of Poker final table today.  Here that loud hum in the background?  No?  You must not be watching the stream.

There is a constant hum going on in the background and the commentators are really not that interesting for the time I tried to watch.  The feed also kept breaking up and there was no option for a lower bandwidth version of the stream.  At least the WSOP gave you an option for a lower bandwidth stream on their final table streams.

From what I saw, there was little "production" done on the stream like there was on the WSOP Main Event streams.  This one was mostly just "run the video and have two guys call the action."

The production value really needs to pick up and we need to lose the hum.  Otherwise, I will not be back.

I really hate this season of WPT. This could be the nail in the coffin. My big problem with this season is two hands of poker 1 promotion, whether is the raw deal, ones to watch etcc.... I hate these promo. I want to see poker. Not commercials in my poker show.

I never also liked Vince Van Patten's horrible metaphors or Sexton just repeating similar poker advice like not raising here or betting the flop, blah blah blah.
