Doyle Brunson to Have Cancer Surgery March 2nd
As some of you already know, Doyle Brunson is once again facing cancer surgery. This time it is for a melanoma discovered on his head a few weeks ago.
Now it appears that there may be three other areas on his head that could be cancerous. They are currently being tested to see if they are indeed cancerous.
Like he has his entire life, Doyle is taking charge and looking to once again beat the odds. He is planning to have the confirmed melanoma removed March 2.
Back in the 60's, he was given three months to live after the discovery of a melanoma in his neck that wouldn't respond to radiation or chemotherapy.
Doyle went for a second opinion and discovered that his cancer had gone into remission. A lucky break indeed.
Unfortunately, Doyle's docs told him that there was a chance that it could return in the future and now he is facing his 12th major surgery at age 81.
Of course, Doyle has been defying the odds all his life, such as winning his 10th career bracelet in 2005 at age 72. Check out the video of that win below.
Everyone here at Poker Junkie would like to wish Doyle well in his surgery and look forward to seeing him at the poker tables again soon.
