Michelle Chin First Female WSOPC Champ

The World Series of Poker Circuit has been the proving ground for many pros over the last 11 years but a woman had never won a Circuit Main Event title -- at least not until Monday.
Michelle Chin took down the Main Event of the Horseshoe Council Bluffs circuit stop on Monday to become the first woman in history to win a WSOP-C Main Event title.
She survived a field of 235 players to take down the title and $88,126.
According to Chin, this was only about the 10th tournament that she had ever played.
When asked about her win, she stated, "It means a lot to me [to be the Circuit's first female Main Event champion]. There aren't too many women in the poker community. We like to see more and more women play because it is a fun game.
"No matter what sex you are you should be able to enjoy it. It means a lot to me. I hope I encourage a lot of other girls to come out and play."
