Matthew WaxmanWins WSOP Circuit Main Event at Harrah's AC

The WSOP Circuit Main Event at Harrah's Atlantic City kicked off on Sunday with 352 players looking to make their way to the National Championship final. The final table kicked off Tuesday with a top prize of $117,797 in play.
This final table was relatively obscure with only a couple of lightly known players. Brandon Croft started the final table as the chip leader but only held a slight edge over Matthew Waxman.
Here is how the final table stacked up at the start of play:
Seat 1: Tam Ly - 738,000
Seat 2: Dave Cubeta - 434,000
Seat 3: Chris Bonita - 339,000
Seat 4: Mark Sykes - 1,024,000
Seat 5: Brandon Croft - 1,397,000
Seat 6: Mike Summers - 469,000
Seat 7: Manish Patel - 194,000
Seat 8: Jesus Cabrera - 1,128,000
Seat 9: Matthew Waxman - 1,334,000
Heads-up play in this event was between Matthew Waxman and Jesus Cabrera. Waxman started heads-up play with 4.26 Million in chips versus the 2.975 Million of Cabrera.
Cabrera would come back and take the chip lead after a major suckout with A-9 against the A-K of Waxman. Waxman did not give up and the two then went back and forth for a bit before Waxman took over and chipped up to nearly a 2 to 1 lead.
The final hand saw Waxman move all-in pre-flop with pocket threes and Cabrera made the call with pocket sixes. Waxman had two outs to avoid doubling up Cabrera.
The flop then fell J-4-3 to give Waxman a set and now Cabrera was left with two outs. The turn Qc and river 5d missed both players and Matthew Waxman is the champion.
Waxman took home the WSOP Circuit Championship ring and $117,797. In addition, he received an automatic entry into the National Championship in May prior to the 2011 World Series of Poker.
Below are the final table payouts:
