Thanksgiving Day Thoughts

Today is Thanksgiving Day in the United States and millions of Americans will gather to eat turkey, watch football and spend time with friends and family.
Most sites at this point would give quotes or clips from poker pros and what they are thankful for this season but instead I will give you a thought to take throughout the year.
Thanksgiving should not something confined to a single holiday. It is something that should be practiced throughout the year.
Too often, we get wrapped up in the "holiday spirit" and once January 2nd hits, it's back to the "grind" whether it be poker, a physical job or raising one's family.
If we were to take a couple of minutes each day and contemplate on what is right in our lives and what we are truly thankful, it would change us as individuals and as a society.
People that are thankful hate less, are less violent and are more giving of their time and themselves.
We all lose sight of this after holidays. I don't claim to have any special insight, because I've done the same thing.
This was just a few thoughts before heading out to eat turkey and watch football. ABD!!! (Anyone but Dallas!!!)
