Isildur1 Crushes Katchalov in PokerStars Showdown

Online poker phenom Viktor "Isildur1" Blom crushed Eugene "MyRabbiFoo" Katchalov in the latest PokerStars Superstar Showdown on Sunday, finishing up an astounding $111,750 after 2,500 hands.
The two players four-tabled $50/$100 NL Hold'em for the match and started slowly, trying to get a feel for each other. Katchalov took an early lead of around $20,000, but from that point Isildur1 utterly dominated the tables.
Two large pots defined the match in Blom's favor. The first was the largest pot of the night in a set-over-set confrontation.
The pot was $10,000 when the flop fell Jd-3c-2h. Blom bet out $3,850 and Katchalov called. Blom bet $5,650 when the turn fell the Kh and Katchalov called again.
The river fell the 9h and Isildur1 shoved for $16,300. Katchalov called and showed pocket nines for a rivered set of nines while Blom showed pocket kings for a turned set of kings. This $62,500 pot gave Blom a huge boost.
Later, the pot was $600 when the flop fell 6c-5h-2h. Katchalov check-called a bet of $600 from Blom. On the turn of the Jd, Katchalov check-raised to $4,600 and received a call.
When the 7c hit the river, Katchalov moved all-in for $14,950 and Blom made the call. Blom showed Jc-5c for two pair and Katchalov showed pocket threes for a failed bluff attempt. Blom drug the $35,500 pot.
After 2,500 hands Isildur1 finished up the aforementioned $111,750 and improved his record to 3-1 in the SuperStar Showdown series. In prior events, Isildur1 defeated Tony G and Dan "Jungleman12" Cates.
The next Superstar Showdown will be in two weeks when Isildur1 takes on online qualifier DodgyFish72.
DodgyFish72 won a heads-up freeroll event to secure a seat against Blom and will receive $15,000 from PokerStars to take him on in a $5/$10 match.
