I just glanced over an article written by Steve Ruddock on 33 candidates that he believes that deserve consideration for the Poker Hall of Fame. While I don't agree with some of his choices, he does give a solid selection of players and contributors who should at least come up for a final vote amongst their peers. Below are my selections from Ruddock's list who should receive consideration for the Poker Hall of Fame. Mike Caro and David Sklansky Men Nguyen1 Men "The Master Nguyen Cyndy Violette Cyndy_Violette2 Doc Holliday.

I told you so. Today, the World Series of Poker announced that Barry Johnson and Linda Johnson will be the newest inductees into the Poker Hall of Fame. Barry seemed the obvious choice to me. He had the best pedigree of those on the finalist list in regards to overall poker prowess.

Chip Reese 430x274
Earlier today, the Poker Hall of Fame announced that the "Chip Reese rule" is now in place. This means that a player must be at least 40 years old to be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame. What this also means is that the debate around Phil Ivey's induction will be effectively shelved for the next five years. To me, this is one of the biggest travesties in the history of the PHOF's existence.

The Poker Hall of Fame has just released the names of the Top 10 finalists that will be voted on by the Hall of Fame committee. Mike Sexton has been officially announced as the next inductee into the Poker Hall of Fame. Sexton was the only man to receive the needed number of votes necessary to guarantee enshrinement. I could go on about what Mike has done for the game of poker and how deserving he was, but instead, I thought I would share my own Mike Sexton story and some observations that I have picked over the last few years. I first met Mike Sexton at the 2006 World Series of Poker.
