2011 WSOP Europe Predictions
The World Series of Poker Europe just kicked off on Friday
at Casino Barriere de Cannes Croisette and the Hôtel
Majestic Barrière in Cannes, France. As usual, I like to make predictions regarding the series,
but I am a bit late getting to them this time around. Here are some of my predictions for this years WSOP-E. *Phil Hellmuth Will Have at Least 1 Strong Showing and May
Take POY Lead*
Phil Hellmuth has been on a tear at the WSOP this year and I
believe that he will continue it through the WSOP-E.

Hellmuth's Thinking Flawed Regarding D.C. iGaming
Phil Hellmuth recently told the Washington Post that he
didn't feel Washington D. C. 's upcoming iGaming site will be
successful. His primary reasoning was that the site will be unattractive
to the typical online pro because the games will likely be
all "low-stakes.

2011 WSOP $50,000 Poker Player's Championship Day 4 - Hellmuth Cashes
Phil Hellmuth has finally done it. He has cashed in the
$50,000 Poker Player's Championship. With 17 players remaining, Hellmuth was the third short
stack and got into a three way hand with a very
short-stacked Robert Mizrachi. By seventh street, Phil only had a pair of nines, but
Mizrachi had all baby cards and a straight draw.

WSOP Main Event Rematches - Who's In, Who I Want In, and Ratings
The WSOP announced today that they're creating a "made for
TV" event for the 2011 WSOP featuring heads-up rematches
from previous Main Events. The main attraction is Sam Farha against Chris Moneymaker in
a replay of the match that started the poker boom in 2003. Other matches on the schedule are a rematch between Phil
Hellmuth and Johnny Chan from the 1989 WSOP and a match that
is to be determined by the fans. You can choose Chan vs.

Annie Duke Leaves UB
I was awakened earlier today by a text message from
@merchdawg stating the following:
"Annie leaving UB. "
I then logged onto twitter and saw the tweet from Annie
herself saying that she was leaving UB and that she had
posted a new blog. Â I logged on and the first line said
it all:
"Itâs bittersweet, but Iâve decided to leave UB. "
Annie Duke leaves UB to "explore and pursue other business
opportunities on a full-time basis.

UB Hops Aboard the Ho Train and Phil Hellmuth Jumping Ship?
A couple of weeks ago, three pros left the UB roster. Having
some space to fill they decided to fill that space by
signing female pro Maria Ho to a sponsorship deal. Many
people outside of poker will remember Ho for her stint on
the Amazing Race with Tiffany Michelle. In poker circles,
she is known for her great play and many think that she is
one of the hotter female pros.

Phil Ivey is Officially Motivated - Look Out Poker World
Phil Ivey is officially motivated. Uh oh. Look out poker
world! Normally, I don't watch a lot of fluff videos from
various poker sites, but there was one that I watched today
where Gloria Balding was interviewing Ivey and when she
asked him what was next for him in poker, he said:
"Well, um, I guess now.

2010 WSOP Predictions - How Did I Do?
The 2010 WSOP has finally wrapped up, or at least until
November anyway. ÃÂ We saw a lot of history made and
big headline stories along the way. ÃÂ I thought I
would take a few moments to review some of the predictions I
made a couple of days prior to the start of the Series. *Women Will Not Walk Away With Three Bracelets - Result:
Push*
Technically, I nailed this one based on the title, but I
also said I thought that women would walk away with 2
bracelets including the Ladies Event.
