for around â¬13. 5, making the company just another in a
long line of acquisitions. This trend has been going on for a couple of years now and
has been magnified by the events surrounding Black Friday. What has been interesting has been the reaction over certain

It was announced today that bwin and Partygaming have
completed the talk of a merger and will now form one company
in 2011. Â Essentially, the assets of bwin will be
transferred to Partygaming but bwin will have the majority
of the shares. I have been watching this for a while due to the fact that I
do some work for some sites run by bwin, so this merger has
been of keen interest to me. Â
However, anyone that plays online poker should be keeping an
eye on bwin and Partygaming over the next few

Poker is not feeling the effects of the recession like other
industries. To this PartyPoker and 888 Holdings have this to
say, "Epic Fail!" Earning for both companies are off huge so
far this year. PartyPoker is down 29% over earnings from
last year and 888 Pacific Poker is down 35% compared to last

World Poker Tour Sold to PartyGaming
The World Poker Tour is now owned by PartyGaming. On Monday,
Peerless Media, a subsidiary of PartyGaming, purchased the
rights to the World Poker Tour for $12. 3 Million and 5%
participation and gaming revenues generated by the assets. This deal is better than the original $9 Million deal
offered by Gamynia Limited earlier in the month.
