Jonathan Duhamel's Bracelet Returned - Or Rather What's Left of It
Well, there is good news and bad news in the Jonathan
Duhamel home invasion case. The good news is that his 2010 WSOP Main Event bracelet has
been recovered. The bad news is that it looks like this:
Here is the shot of the back:
My first reaction at seeing this was "Oh, no. That sucks
dude.

Bet on Pokerlistings on how German player Martin Finger
decided that it was a good idea to sucker punch Jonathan
Duhamel in the face. The post goes on to state that Duhamel "likely deserved" a
bit of what he got.

Jonathan Duhamel Finds Out the Hard Way that Women are the Rake
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Just ask *Jonathan
Duhamel*. As many of you know, Jonathan Duhamel was a victim of a home
invasion last week where he was badly beaten and had his
*2010 WSOP Main Event* bracelet taken along with some cash
and his Rolex given to him by PokerStars for winning the
event. Now, three people have been charged in connection with the
robbery.

Erik Seidel Wins Me $100 - And He Also Won the NBC National Heads-Up Title
The 2011 NBC National Heads-Up Championship has now
concluded and I figured I would take a few moments to
comment on the weekend. First, I realize that I got my
initial overall pick wrong. Ivey disappointed me with an
early first round exit, but my back-up pick of Erik Seidel
came through. So apparently this wasn't the year Mizrachi had a deep run
in the bracket.

My November Nine Predictions Revisited
A couple of days prior to the Main Event, I made four
predictions regarding the November Nine final table. I
watched the event Saturday and Monday and even last night on
ESPN. It was a very entertaining final table leading up to
heads-up play. Heads-up, not so much.

2010 WSOP November Nine Heads-Up Update - Jonathan Duhamel Wins 2010 WSOP Main Event
It all came down to this night. Jonathan Duhamel with a
nearly 6 to 1 chip lead over John Racener. Personally, I
predicted this heads-up battle before the November Nine and
was looking forward to the event. Unfortunately, what we got
was pretty much a one sided affair with Duhamel pretty much
picking up pots at will.

WSOP Main Event Day 8 Third Update - More Eliminations, Redraw
We are still averaging 4 eliminations per level as the first
2 levels saw 8 players go. Will the next two levels bring
the same?
*Fourth Level*
Players came back for the third level of the day with the
blinds at 100k/200k and antes of 30k. With 19 players left
we were waiting on only one more player to be eliminated
before a full-field redraw would happen. *Michiel Sijpkens out in 19th*
Sijpkens made a climb up the chip counts briefly before
finally plummeting down and then out of the tournament.

WSOP Main Event Day 8 Second Update - Almonds, More Eliminations, Movers
After seeing the elimination of 4 players in the first level
of play on Day 8, cards are back in the air for the 2nd
level with the blinds at 80k/160k and a 20k ante. *Almonds Anyone?*
Coming out of the break the floor introduced the almond
chips that are worth T250,000. The next color will be mint,
so I guess we will have to stick with the almond name. *More Eliminations*
Coming back from the break, in one of the first few hands at
the outer table Robert Pisano was eliminated in 23rd place.
