Flashback Friday - Patrik Antonius Wins Largest Pot in Online Poker History
This week's edition of Flashback Friday takes us back to
November 7, 2009, a day that will never happen again thanks
to recent changes at Full Tilt Poker. Patrik Antonius and Viktor "Isildur1" Blom were entangled in
a massive heads-up match playing $500-$1,000 PL Omaha. A mini-raising war pre-flop resulted in Antonius
five-betting to $81,000 before Isildur1 finally decided to
see a flop. On a flop of 5c-4s-2h, Antonius bet out $91,000, followed by
a pot-size raise by Isildur1 to $435,000,
Antonius potted to $779,000, effectively putting Isildur1
all-in for his last $162,473.

Same Old Stories With Jean-Robert Bellande and Isildur1
Is anyone else besides myself getting tired of hearing about
Isildur1 and Jean-Robert Bellande? Seriously. I read in my Twitter timeline today that Bellande has a
bankroll of $400. A little while later I read how Isildur1
took another big loss at the tables after booking a big win
at the tables. Once and for all, here is the basic storyline for both
players:
*******
*Jean-Robert Bellande:*
I am broke.

The 20 Most Influential People in Poker - #10 - Viktor "Isildur1" Blom
Due to the April 15th indictments, I was forced to rethink
the rest of the Top 20 Most Influential People in Poker
list. In fact, the next player on the list fell about three spots
as a result. Back in late 2009, a new player exploded on the scene. In a
short amount of time, this player took a staggering $5
million from internet superstar Tom Dwan and instantly made
himself a high-stakes legend.

Negreanu - Isildur1 II Highlights Poker's Short-Term Memory Problem
If you want a look into the mentality of many poker fans,
take a look at the results from today's Pokerstars Superstar
Showdown Challenge. Daniel Negreanu took on Isildur1 for 2,500 hands and emerged
a $26k winner. Everyone is congratulating him like he just
accomplished one of the biggest feats in poker. At the same
time, they are seeming to totally overlook the fact that he
dropped $150,000 to Blom just a week ago.

Isildur1 Gives RealKidPoker a Spanking
In case you missed it this past Sunday, Daniel Negreanu took
on Viktor Blom aka Isildur1 in the latest Pokerstars
Superstar Showdown Challenge. More accurately, Daniel tried
to take him on. For the first time since this challenge had
been instituted, Isildur1 actually busted his opponent. It
only took 1,439 out of the 2,500 hands for Isildur1 to
defeat Negreanu.

I Would Have Called Isildur1 in This Spot
First, let me give DodgyFish72 all the props in the world
for an amazing comeback against Viktor "Isildur1" Blom
yesterday. He was down over $10,000 at the halfway point of
the PokerStars SuperStar Showdown and battled back to pull
even with one hand left. He then folded his big blind when Isildur1 moved all-in from
the small blind. I would have called.

Isildur1 Fears Me
So Pokerati is going around saying that they have a source
confirming that Isildur1 is indeed Victor Blom. They also
said that the has a listing on Hendon Mob. I saw this and
thought, "Ok, I'll go check him out. " I pulled up his
profile and.

I Play Heads-Up for Rolls
Isildur1 has now officially become a pop icon. Fredrik
Thomson, Sohello Shah, and Joacim Gustavsson have
collaborated together to create a song for the mad Swede. Yes, you heard that right, a song. While the song isn't as catchy as "Playing Poker for a
Living" or "All-in", it is still funny as hell.

Isildur1 to Play at PartyPoker's Big Game IV
Isildur1 has apparently accepted Tony G's offer to stake him
into PartyPoker's Big Game IV. It is unclear whether or not
that Isildur1 will reveal his identity to the world or wear
some type of mask to keep people guessing. However, we have
a pretty go idea of who Isildur1 is not:
*Phil Hellmuth*
Someone jokingly made a comment on one news story that Phil
was Isildur1. Hellmuth plays too rocky to be Isildur1.
