2011 WSOP Main Event Day 1b - Screw Poker - I'd Rather Be at 4-H Camp

4 H Camp 227x300
So the 2011 WSOP Main Event is currently in Day 1b and honestly, I don't give a damn about the event oday.   For most of this week until today I have been participating in the annual 4-H Camp I work at yearly, or as I will call it this year, the World Series of Ultimate Uno. What is Ultimate Uno?  You play the same rules as Uno, except for the fact that if you have multiples of a number or special card, you can play them all at the same time.   Also, if you get forced to draw 2 and you have a draw 2 card, you can lay it down and make the next person draw 4.

2011 WSOP Main Event Day 1 - Brunson Plays Day 1a

Doyle Day 1a 319x300
The 2011 WSOP Main Event officially kicked off on Thursday and contrary to his statement made on Twitter during the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship, Doyle was indeed in this one. In fact, Doyle even gave the customary "Shuffle Up and Deal" call to kick off the Main Event. How did this come to fruition? Apparently Dewey Tomko is the person that convinced him to play.  Doyle said on Twitter yesterday: TexDolly Stop it.

The 2011 WSOP Main Event Will Be Won by a PokerStars Player

I have noticed an interesting, but odd trend at the WSOP Main Event Final Table.  Since 2003, 6 of the 8 Main Event Champions were PokerStars players / patched by PokerStars.   While it is true that PokerStars sends more Main Event players than any other site, you would think that there would have been more than 1 Main Event Champ from Full Tilt in the last 8 years. The only two Main Event winners since 2003 that were not with PokerStars were Jerry Yang and Jamie Gold.
