Tuesday, Jun 29, 2010 WSOP 2010 Event 46 - Chris Bell Wins $5,000 PL Omaha Hi-Lo Bracelet

Event #46 of the 2010 WSOP was the $5,000 PL Omaha Hi-Lo Split Event.  284 players turned out for the last PL Omaha Hi-Lo bracelet of the year and $327,040.

WSOP 2010 Event 46 winner Chris Bell

130 players returned on Day 2 and looked to make both the money in this event and the final table.  Among the players that finished in the money were, Chip Jett, Barry Greenstein, Dan Heimiller, Allen Kessler, Andy Black, and John Cernuto.

The final table of this event was stacked as Perry Green, Leif force, David "DevilFish" Ulliott, Dan Shak, and Erik Seidel all were battling for the bracelet.  Dan Shak started the final table as the chip leader and he eventually battled Chris Bell heads-up for the bracelet.  Dan Shak started heads-up with a slight chip lead of 2.165 to 2.095 Million over Chris Bell.

The two battled back and forth with each player holding the chip lead.  A big pot developed between the two that determined the winner.  On a flop of 8h-Kc-2h, Bell bet 100,000 and Shak raised pot to 460,000.  Bell called and the turn fell the Kh.  Shak bet the pot once again and Bell shoved.  He had Shak covered, and Shak made the call.  Shak showed Ah-9h-8s-7s for the nut flush.  However, Bell showed Ks-10c-9s-8d for a turned full house.  Shak could still chop if he made a low on the river.  However, the river fell the 9c and Chris Bell is our new WSOP Omaha champion.

Chris Bell took down the last PL Omaha Hi-Lo bracelet of the year.  In addition, he took home $327,040.  Congratulations.
