Event #36 of the 2010 WSOP was the $1,000 NL Holdem Event. 3,102 players turned out over 2 starting days to start their journey to a bracelet and $481,760 in prize money.

Day 2 of this event saw 451 players return to battle through the bubble. 324 players finished in the money in this event and among those that made the money were Liv Boeree, Tad Jurgens, Sabyl Landrum, Svetlana Gromenkova, and Peter Traply. Day 3 was a short day that saw 38 players turn out to play to the final table.
The final table was headlined by 2008 November Nine member Scott Montgomery. He started the day as the 2nd short stack. Sebastian Roy was the chip leader heading into the final table. Here are how the final nine started in chips:

Scott Montgomery came storming back at this final table and took a 2 to 1 chip lead into heads-up play against Mick Carlson. Montgomery held about 5.5. Million in chips to 2.7 Million for Carlson.
After having his chip stack cut down to less than 1 Million, Carlson put his last 825,000 in pre-flop with Kd-2sand was called by the Ad-7h for Montgomery. The board would miss both players and Scott Montgomery takes down his first bracelet.
Scott Montgomery is the 2nd former November Nine member to take a bracelet during the 2010 WSOP. In addition to his first bracelet, Montgomery took home $481,760 in prize money. Congratulations.
