WSOP 2010 Event 31 - Konstantin Puchkov Wins $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. Event
Event #31 of the 2010 WSOP was the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. Event. 827 players took the field on Day 1 looking to win the first H.O.R.S.E. bracelet of this WSOP and $635,000 in prize money.

Day 1 of this year's first WSOP HORSE event saw a solid field of both pros and amateurs take the felt. By the end of Day 1, 247 players remained to come back on Day 2 and work their way to the money. 80 players made the money in this event. Among those cashing were Tom Dwan, Doug Carli, Robert Williamson III, George Lind, Brandon Cantu, Jason Mercier, Pat Pezzin, and Linda Johnson.
Day 3 started with 24 players, and a marathon session was expected. Jon Turner, Ming Reslock, James Van Alstyne, and Allen Kessler were all eliminated in Day 3 action prior to the final table.
Al Barbieri was the chip leader heading into the final table. Joining him was Robert Mizrachi who also made the final table of the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship.
Heads-up play was between Al Barbieri and Konstatin Puchkov. Barbieri started with a 2.6 Million to 1.1 Million chip lead over Puchkov.
Heads-up play went on for over 3 hours with the stacks swinging back and forth. Eventually Puchkov went on a run of cards to take a dominating lead and left Barbieri with just 600,000 in chips. Barbieri was then all-in on fifth street of stud 8 with buried fours and Puchkov had sevens and deuces. On sixth, Puchkov filled up and Barbieri was drawing dead.
Konstatin Puchkov is the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. WSOP Champion. He took home the gold bracelet and $256,820 in prize money.
