WSOP 2010 Event 18 winner Eric Buchman

First prize for this event was $203,607 with 45 players paid.  Jeff Shulman and Shannon Shorr were among the players that finished in the money of this event. Both Matt Matros and Eric Buchman made the final table of this event.  Buchman made headlines last year when he finished 4th at the 2009 WSOP Main Event.  Matros made headlines earlier this WSOP when he won the $1,500 Limit Holdem Event.  Eric Buchman was the chip leader heading into final table play.  This is how the final table looked at the start of play

Eric Buchman                         600,000
Flavio Ferrari               590,000
Hansu Chu                  400,000
Steven Hustoft            400,000
Brent Courson             350,000
William Jensen            190,000
Matt Grapenthien        145,000
Matthew Matros         124,000
Gary Bogdanski          105,000

Matros would win up finishing in 9th place while Buchman proceeded to dominate the final table and played Brent Courson heads-up for the bracelet.  He led by almost 1 Million chips heading into heads-up play and then proceeded to grind Courson down.

On the final hand of the event, Courson moved all-in with A-K at the turn on a 2-Q-2-7 board.  Buchman called with 10-7.  His two pair were in the lead and held when an eight hit the river.

Eric Buchman took the next step and won his first quotation in the list of WSOP bracelet winners.  In addition he took home the $203,607 in prize money.
