Tuesday, Jun 1, 2010 WSOP 2010 Event 1 - Hoai Pham Wins $500 Casino Employee's Event
The first event of the 2010 World Series of Poker was the $500 Casino Employee's Event.
This event is the traditional opener for the World Series of Poker. Several notable names took part in this event including tournament director's Matt Savage and Jack McClelland. Anthony Yeh, fresh off of a recent WSOP Circuit Main Event final table also took part in the event.

Jack McClelland was the only name of note to make the money of the event. He ultimately finished 19th in the event after running A-K into pocket jacks. Day 2 of this event played until a bracelet winner was crowned. The final table ran well into the morning of May 30th. Some time after 5 a.m., Arthur Vea moved all-in with pocket fours on a queen high flop against Haoi Pham. Pham held pocket aces and made the call. His aces held and Haoi Pham is the first bracelet winner of 2010 World Series of Poker.
Haoi Pham won $71,424 to go along with his first WSOP bracelet. The bracelet ceremony was held on Sunday and Steve Soffa present Pham with his prize.
