Bad beat Phil Ivey at Full Tilt Poker

Phil Ivey is one of the greatest poker players on the scene right now. With a great track record he’s well deserved it. Having won five bracelets the sky’s the limit for this young poker star, often dubbed “The Tiger Woods of Poker”

Ivey was born in Riverside, California but his family moved to Roselle, New Jersey while he was only three months old. In the late 1990s he started crafting his poker skills and he got the nickname “No Home Jerome” because of the ID card he used when practicing in Atlantic City. None did he know that all his hard work would pay out in the way it has.

In 2002 Phil Ivey won three of his bracelets, tying with Ted Forrest and Phil Hellmuth Jr for the most wins in a single year. This is far from the only great accomplishment from this professional poker player. In 2006 Ivey was playing for “The Corporation” against Texas billionaire Andy Beal. After three days of exciting play Phil had won over $16,000,000, putting an end to a possible poker career for Andy Beal.

Phil Ivey currently resides in Las Vegas with his wife Luciaetta where he can be seen, if not playing poker of course, enjoying a game of golf. There is no sign of Phil stepping down from the game of poker in the near future. And why should he? The man is a genius at the poker tables!
