Monday, Nov 24, 2008 Time for a New Round of High Stakes Poker
It's been almost a year since the last episode aired (Dec. 17, 2007), but now High Stakes Poker is coming back. Season 5 of the popular poker TV show will be played and shot at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Dec. 19-21.
The buy-in for High Stakes Poker season 5 will be $200,000 and, as usual, crazy poker action with lots of $100,000+ pots is to be expected. You will be able to se it all on GSN.
We don't know yet who will be playing, but in the past all the big names have been seated at the High Stakes Poker table - Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth, Mike Matusow, Barry Greenstein, Patrik Antonius, Jamie Gold, Phil Laak and Jennifer Harman, just to name a few.
"High Stakes Poker, by a wide margin, has become a must-see on GSN for poker players and poker fans all over the world," said Harry Orenstein, one of the executive producers of HSP.
"We are happy to bring back the top amateurs and professionals risking hundreds of thousands of their own money in the new season."
The return of High Stakes Poker is great news for all the poker junkies out there. It's by far the most interesting poker show, with the best players and the most spectacular action.
