Monday, Nov 3, 2008 Team Ladbrokes Beaten in LEOCOP

Not a single Ladbrokes Poker pro reached the final table of the "Beat the Team" tourney in LEOCOP IV.

LEOCOP IV Event 4 saw the largest field so far in the series, 499 players. Maybe it was the chance to knock out the Ladbrokes pros and win a bounty that attracted the players to the $20 + $2 No-Limit Hold'em tournament.

Team Ladbrokes had a strong line-up with lots of skilled players including Jon "skalie" Kalmar, Jeff "JaffaCake" Kimber, Jonas "Nebuchad" Danielsson, Andreas "Theah" Hoivold and Colin "Jaws180" Lloyd.

None of the "home players" made it to the final table, however. 2007 WSOP Main Event finalist Jon Kalmar was first to bust out of the pros, with Jonas "Nebuchad" Danielsson and the others joining him at the rails soon after.

The Ladbrokes star who made it the furthest in the event, Colin "Jaws180" Lloyd, isn't actually a poker player, but a dart player. Lloyd was knocked out by player Acid, who earned himself a $3 000 bounty prize.

Russian online player eliman won the tournament and took home $6,710 in prize money.
