Monday, Feb 16, 2009 Stupid, Cheap Player Loses PokerStars 25 Billion Bash

Was waiting to post blind - missed out on the 25 billionth cash game hand on PokerStars - lost at least $25,000.

A few hours ago, PokerStars celebrated its 25 billionth cash game hand with a big jackpot promotion. The hand was played at a $1/$2 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo table, but one of the players, "Confedrate", didn't get dealt in as he was waiting to post the big blind.

He did what he could to convince PokerStars that he should be in the hand, but didn't succeed, as you can tell from the following PokerStars support message:

"HostJeff [Support]: Unfortunately, Confedrate, it looks like that's right. You were waiting to post your blind, and you didn't get dealt in. I'm very sorry."

Another player, "NeonFrost" was mysteriously folded in the hand, but PokerStars quickly decided that he was eligible for the jackpot. Very lucky for NeonFrost who ended up winning the high-hand, which gave him $50,000 and a tournament package including the following:

· European Poker Tour Monte Carlo Grand Final package
· PokerStars Caribbean Adventure package
· World Series package
· World Championship of Online Poker Main Event ticket

tupapi777 won the low-hand and received the same prizes as NeonFrost while the other three players in the hand got $33,333.

Confedrate, of course, received nothing...
