After winning the $50K HORSE of the 2008 WSOP, Scotty Nguyen now apologizes to his fans for his behavior at the final table.

It was after the dinner break during the last day of the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event that Scotty Nguyen came back to play in a frantic overdrive mood.

Hard feelings at the final table

With his loud table talk and repeated outbursts of laughter, Scotty kept the audience entertained and made life hard on his opponents. What we didn't capture at the time was that Scotty apparently went somewhat out of line with the whole table talk routine

As you can see in this Youtube clip, feelings ran high and the ambience at the table was not quite the happy-go-lucky, fan friendly poker show that Scotty Nguyen often claims to be bringing to every table he's playing at.

Erick Lindgren and Michael DeMichele clearly stated that they didn't appreciate Scotty's program this time. DeMichele expressly distancing himself from Scotty's abusive behavior at the table and Lindgren exclaiming "I couldn't beat the drunk" after being eliminated.

Scotty's regrets after the game

After the turmoil, once the tournament was over and Scotty had brought home his fifth bracelet together with the very prestigious title, he himself seems to have had regrets.

In a forum thread, Scotty Nguyen comes out and asks his fans to forgive him for his behavior - in his usual humble ways - referring to the pressing situation, his strong urge to win and his failure in the 2007 WSOP.

Interview with Scotty Nguyen

Let's hope that Scotty can find his mental peace and enjoy his wife, his kids and his flowers, witch was what he wanted the most when we talked to him during the 2008 WSOP.

Read our interview with Scotty Nguyen where he clearly states not being a Poker Junkie! "You never see me bring a negative feeling to the table. When I come to play, I think everybody can enjoy Scotty."
