Alexander Kostritsyn has been on fire in October, winning over $500,000 to lead all high-stakes players. Meanwhile, SanIker has channeled his inner Gus Hansen and has dropped over $1 million this month.
Kostritsyn has been October's big winner but this time around his earnings have come on PokerStars under the handle of joiso. Through 111 sessions this month joiso is up $512,144 -- almost double that of Mikael "punting-peddler" Thuritz.
Punting-peddler is up $280,048 this month in 14 sessions on Full Tilt Poker. Dan Cates was #3 this month, but again all of his earnings were at PokerStars. Playing as "w00ki3z" Cates is up $137,992 over 45 sessions.

SanIker, meanwhile, has been getting crushed this month over on Full Tilt Poker. Through 36 sessions he is down $1.08 million. The closest competitor is Phil "polarizing" Ivey. Ivey is down $193,440 this month over just 14 sessions.
Ray Bitar Dying Penniless?
Former Full Tilt Poker CEO Ray Bitar has been in the news a bit recently following the release of details regarding his $40 million forfeiture to the U.S. government.
Many former Full Tilt Players felt that Bitar got off somewhat easy because he receive no jail time due to a heart condition. However, it now appears that Bitar may be nearing the end of his life and completely broke.
Former Full Tilt Pro Allen Cunningham recently spoke on 2+2 Forums about the condition of the former FTP boss, stating,
"To all the conspiracy theorists: according to my sources, Ray Bitar is unlikely to live more than a couple years and is nearly penniless. He didn't get away with anything.
"I feel like that's not getting away with it in a karmic way at least. I would trade places with any of his victims over him. Some people still haven't got paid and it's mostly Ray Bitar's fault, but he isn't benefiting from it."
Bitar was supposedly near death back in 2011, needing a heart transplant.
