Quadruple Shootout WSOP Satellites at Poker Stars

In the general frenzy that starts to build up around the 2008 WSOP, Poker Stars enters the catwalk with a new, creative form of WSOP satellite: the Quadruple Shootout. To qualify for the WSOP Main Event, all you need to do is win four consecutive sit-and-gos. Now, anyone who's taken a shot at the various step tournaments offered by many poker sites knows that this is no easy feat.

Defeat 12 players and go to WSOP 2008

However, at PokerStars, each sit-and-go is very, very small. Only four players compete for the one seat in the next round. So you have to defeat three opponents four times. Where else can you win a $12,000 ticket by defeating 12 players in a $55 competition?!

Obviously this is no given either, but it's certainly an interesting proposition. The buy-in is $55 and of course, to gather the necessary $12,000 it takes more than one table. We're talking 64-table sit-and-gos, featuring 256 entrants.

WSOP satellites always waiting to fill up

These exciting WSOP satellites run continuously, but you may have to wait a while before the requested 256 players show up and the tournament can start.

It's a bit surprising that Poker Stars, the home of true poker and inventor of deep stack tournaments, launches WSOP satellites with five minute blind periods.

But, if you're a fan of turbo tournaments and don't mind the increased luck factor they entail, by all means double-click on your Poker Stars icon and throw yourself into the WSOP turmoil!
