Thursday, Mar 10, 2011 PokerStars SCOOP Returns May 8 with $45 Million Guaranteed
PokerStars' massive Spring Championship of Online Poker returns from May 8-22 this year, with $45 million guaranteed and a packed lineup of tournaments concluding just short of the start of the 2011 World Series of Poker.
As in previous years, each event will offer three levels of buy-ins compatible with any sized bankroll.
For those that are fans of multi-tabling events and have the bankroll to support it, players can also choose to play in all three buy-in events at the same time.
This year's SCOOP schedule, released yesterday, offers six to nine tournaments per day and events in just about every game spread on the poker site.
Some of the highlights of this year's SCOOP include the new Triple Stud event, a Badugi event and the $25,500 NL Heads-Up Match Play event.
The series will wrap up on May 22 with three Main Events.
The $109 "low" buy-in event will have a guarantee of $1 million. The $1,050 "middle" Main Event will have a $3 million guarantee and the $10,300 "high" Main Event will offer $5 million in guaranteed money.
The 2010 SCOOP spread 38 events and awarded over $63 million in prize money. ToetagU won the high buy-in Main Event last year for over $1.1 million.
The full SCOOP schedule can be found via the PokerStars review page.
