Full Review of WSOP.com Poker
Summary of WSOP.com Poker
WSOP Poker is the first and only online poker room officially licensed by the World Series of Poker.
Released in 2009, the site utilizes the same Dragonfish-based software that 888poker uses but is currently only available to players in the U.K. The end result is a very compelling product that offers vibrant graphics, an intuitive user interface and aggressive promotions, especially the WSOP satellites.
It would be easy for Caesars Entertainment to release a product that is sub-par and simply rely on the WSOP brand name to get sign-ups but that’s not the case with WSOP Poker.
The site compares very well to many of the top online poker rooms in the world in both features and technology.
Players have access to all the popular poker games including No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Seven-Card Stud and the majority of the Hi-Lo variants.
Tournaments are running 24/7 and there are some big guaranteed tournaments that are potentially very lucrative.
It helps that the 888poker network is renowned for having tons of soft tables and the WSOP brand name that will likely on increase.
It’s hard to see WSOP Poker failing and it’s a great time to sign up and get in on the ground floor as this room is likely headed to the top.
Promotions and Bonus Information
All players who sign up via PokerJunkie are eligible for two exclusive high-value bonus offers:
1) An instant £20 bonus on their first deposit.
2) An up to £500 welcome bonus at 100% match.
The WSOP Poker welcome bonus is paid out at $1 per 10 Reward Points. So if a player deposits £50, 500 points is needed to release the full £50 bonus.
As soon as you start playing for real money you're then enrolled in the WSOP Poker Rewards program.
Reward Points can be cashed in at the WSOP Poker store for merchandise or satellite entries.
Real-money players also earn status points. The higher their status becomes, the easier it is to generate Reward Points.
WSOP Poker shares traffic with 888poker and the overall network has been gaining momentum over the last few years.
Although the network is currently outside of the top 10 rooms in terms of traffic it’s easily one of the top five rooms in terms of software and promotions.
The best time to play is obviously during the U.K. peak hours. During those times the cash game tables are buzzing and you’ll find micro to medium stakes Sit & Goes going off every minute.
Software & Graphics
The WSOP Poker software is honestly one of the best-looking poker clients in the industry.
It uses a dark, professional theme that exudes VIP status but is also easy to use. It caters to both beginners and hardcore players with a number of table finding tools.
The software offers a variety of multi-tabling options including cascading and tiling views as well instant access to the cashier.
The software also has a built in casino and bingo games for players who also want to gamble. Bottom line, it’s software that’s worthy of the WSOP brand.
Although WSOP Poker doesn’t quite match the amount of variants at the actual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas it does offer Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Seven-Card Stud as well as PLO Hi-Lo and Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo.
Be warned, however, that the majority of traffic is strictly in No-Limit Hold’em with a little bit of PLO action.
Most poker fans are likely surprised by how long it took for Caesars Entertainment to bring the WSOP brand to an online poker room.
In reality Caesars Entertainment was likely biding their time and waiting to see how the legal landscape would shape up for online poker.
It seems they have found a good partner in 888poker and with online poker getting closer and closer to legalization and regulation in the U.S., this could suddenly turn into the top poker room in the entire world with unsurpassed satellites to live events.
