Full Review of Colt Poker
Summary of Colt Poker
Colt Poker is a great place for a player new to online poker to get his or her feet wet.
It’d also be a nice surprise for the more experienced player used to playing at the bigger online poker sites, as you’ll find more than competent software and some of the softest games on the web.
The level of play on Colt Poker is, to say the least, sub-par. Wild, amateur play is definitely the standard, but if you’re a new player, well, you’ll fit right in.
If you’re an experienced player, well, then you stand to do well at the tables.
Theme-wise the site is nothing special, but giving its connection to the Cake Network you’ll find a lot of good promotions, a solid loyalty program and a wide selection of games and tournaments.
The support staff is also great – will help you out with deposits and withdrawals immediately and is very quick to take any concerns about the network/other players very seriously.
And did we mention the soft games...?

New depositing players are also automatically issued a free seat in the weekly Cake Network $500 Freeroll.
Freeroll plays every Saturday at 2 PM ET.
Poker Traffic
Colt Poker isn't exactly booming as far as traffic goes, but thanks to the breadth of the Cake Network, most players will find a game or tournament that will make them happy.
If you’re looking for games running 24/7, you’ll have to go elsewhere as the player base is mostly American and typically concentrated to primt time hours.
No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha games are running at the smaller stakes nearly all day though.
Software & Graphics
The Colt Poker software is fine.
The recent 2.0 upgrade of the Cake software has definitely helped, and for most players the standard lobby, multi-table support, hand histories, chat functions etc. are plenty good enough.
It’s not gonna win any prizes, but it’ll do the trick. The upgrade also added a lot more customization options.
Game Variety
Colt Poker offers No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo.
As with most sites,Hold’em dominates most of the action however.
