Friday, Dec 12, 2008 Poker Players Alliance tries to influence lawmakers on Capitol Hill

After the coverage of the recent cheating scandals in Washington Post and CBS 60 Minutes the Poker Player Alliance tries to influence the U.S. Congress to legalize and regulate online poker.

Full page ads will be ran by the Poker Player Alliance in several Capitol Hill newspapers. The message is that a thoughtful regulation of online poker is the best and only way to protect consumers and regulate a constantly growing industry. And on the bonus side there are billions of tax dollars to collect for the U.S. government.

The Poker Player Alliance keep on fighting for the right of poker players across the globe. And the battle for legalized online poker in the U.S. continues. Hopefully Congress will see reason sooner rather than later.
