Vanessa Rousso's Next TV Project NOT High Stakes Poker

Vanessa Rousso has squashed the rumors that she will be the female co-host for the next season of High Stakes Poker. That's too bad for several reason. Yes, I am like many men that find her hot. (However, I am not like my blogger friend TassieDevil who would sit with mouth slightly agape while covering her at the WSOP.) That is not the reason why I am mildly disappointed.

Vanessa is one female pro that I think would make a great fit on High Stakes Poker. She is a pro player that actually has some stats to back it up. Other females such as Kara Scott, Tiffany Michelle, etc just do not have the same poker chops as Vanessa.  Granted, I wouldn't expect to see Vanessa playing in the Big Game, but I think she could give competent insight on high stakes Holdem.  Personally, I would love to see Jennifer Harman take over as the female pro. She could bring a level of professionalism to the show that wouldn't be matched by many.

Sadly, they will probably pick a poker "hottie" instead of someone with poker knowledge and the true pedigree to back it up. Don't get me wrong, I know that females like Kara Scott and Tiffany Michelle have a "background in poker", but listening to either talk about playing high stakes poker would be like listening to Greg Raymer talk about aerobic cross training. It just doesn't fit.
