What I Am Thankful for This Christmas
Christmas is this weekend and I figured I would blog about what I am thankful for as we are approaching the holiday season.
First, I am thankful to be alive. As simple as that sounds, last year I could not have told you whether I would live to see another Christmas. I will blog about that sometime in the future.
Next, I must admit that I have been very blessed since Black Friday. While others have been struggling to keep some type of a job in the poker world, I have been lucky enough to retain most of my clients and pick up a couple new ones. The only ones that I lost as a result of Black Friday were literally my newest ones.
Normally, this is a slow time media wise, or at least it has been for me the last three years. Not so much this year. I actually have enough going on to get me through the "lean months", so I am thankful for that.
Poker wise, this has been the least profitable at the tables. Of course, that is because I have seldom played this year. Part of it has been health and part has been staying busy with other things.
Finally, I am thankful for all of you that read me and follow my exploits here, other sites I write at, and on Twitter.
You may not always agree with me, but you still follow me and make me at least appear relevant.
I look forward to 2012 and all that it bring, both personally and professionally.
Hopefully it will be a banner year for poker, but even if it isn't, odds are I will still be around giving my opinions once the end of next year hits. Stick around as it should be interesting.
Merry Christmas, unless you don't celebrate Christmas. Happy commercialized season to those that don't.
Check back on Christmas Day. I promise my yearly gift to you.
