PokerStars Assimilates Another Main Event Champion

Jonathan Duhamel was announced on Tuesday as the latest PokerStars pro.  He becomes the latest in a long line of WSOP Main Event winners to sign a deal with the online site.

In fact, since 2003, PokerStars has signed every Main Event winner except two - and one of those (Jamie Gold) couldn't pay to get sponsored.

PokerStars always seems to make the right choice in who to patch.  Poker fans and PokerStars execs were elated over scenes like this.

Full Tilt Poker on the other hand was probably less than pleased over this one.

It's not so much hate as stating a fact. He can't hold an endorsement deal and it's hard to say how many extended one to him, especially after what he pulled regarding his Main Event winnings. Had he met his obligations he could have probably made a killing on the fact that his word was as "Good as Gold." However, he didn't and he remains unsponsored.

Aw, why the hate on Jamie Gold?
