Erik Seidel - All He Does is Win Poker Tournaments

The WPT Hollywood Poker Open was destined to be a nearly forgotten stop on the WPT this year. The event only drew 97 players and early on the talk was about how poorly this event drew.

That's all changed now that Erik Seidel has made the final table.

As anyone not living under that rock in the Geico commercial knows, Seidel has won over $4 million this year including the NBC National Heads-Up Championship.

He's sitting 3rd in chips heading into this six-handed final table and nobody is counting him out.

The funny thing about this final table is that even if Seidel wins, the $273k prize will only be his 5th-largest score of the year. How sick of a heater is he on?

Seidel is not alone at this final table. 2010 Cardplayer Player of the Year Tom Marchese is also at the final table. This is Marchese's 2nd final table.

Obviously I am rooting for Seidel to take this one down. How can you not root for one of the nicest guys in poker?

How nice is this guy? On April Fools Day I wrote an article that said Seidel was accused of collusion. Someone called up Erik and told him about the article, and he just laughed. (Which was great since it was an April Fool's joke)

Is there anything this guy can't win? He takes high roller events, and now he is on the verge of taking another WPT title. He also has 8 bracelets.

About the only thing he hasn't won is a ladies event. I wonder how he feels about wearing a dress....
