It's Bracelet Time!!!
It's bracelet time!!
The 2014 World Series of Poker is officially underway at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
If you have been following along, this is the 10th anniversary of the WSOP being held at the Rio. To celebrate, the Main Event has a guarantee of $10 Million.
Action is underway in the $500 Casino Employee's Event. Unless a "WSOP Partner" happens to win the bracelet again, I doubt anyone will remember this event in two weeks.
The event that most people actually care about kicks off at 4 p.m. The $25,000 NL Hold'em Mixed Max Event will certainly produce a killer field and will be great railbird fodder.
I would not be shocked to see someone of the caliber of Dan Smith or David Peters go deep in this one. This one will be tough to predict early on based on the strength of field and the fact it's the first open field bracelet.
I'm interested in seeing how the $1k PLO draws. This is the first time an open-field non-Hold'em Event will be priced under $1,000. The field could be insane.
Officials are banking on this weekends "Millionaire Maker" banking a monster crowd and I agree. The first weekend of the WSOP is always huge but offering an event with a $1 million to first guarantee will make it insane.
Sit back and get ready for what promises to be a crazy ride. Good luck to those playing.
