Today's 2011 World Series of Twitter will be "epic."

Federated Sports and Gaming have come up with the name for their poker league. From this point on it will be called the Epic Poker League.

I'm actually serious here folks. Check out the logo:

Nima Hassanejad tweeted my sentiments about the new league name:

OMGNima Lollllll at epicpoker league. What 20 year old Internet player came up with that?

******

The Micros said the following:

TheMicros EpicPoker League? #cringe The name's destined for obsolescence just like Groovy Poker, Like Totally Gnarly Poker, and Hella Bad Poker.

*******

Kevmath was soliciting opinions as well:

Kevmath Showing someone the new @epicpokerleague logo, they said it reminds them of a convenience store.

Kevmath Another person opines that the Epic Poker League Logo is similar to Lance Snacks - http://bit.ly/liSQ8Z

*******

Michael Craig gave us a little insight into the naming convention:

MikeCraigIsAmok @epicpokerleague "Epic Poker" "Epic Poker League" "EpicPoker.com" = better on a biz card than "the website for Annie & Jeffrey's league."

********

Now that we have the Epic Poker League, here are some of my suggestions for future poker tours:

Numerologists Intelligently Taking Stacks or NITS Poker Tour for short.

Running Awful In Life But I Rape Donkey Stacks or RAILBIRDS Poker Tour

Broke Undergrads Struggling To Own or BUSTO Poker Tour

To find out more on the Epic Poker Tour, check out their Facebook page. Their first event is in just 39 days.

Will this new tour be "Epic?"  Stay tuned and find out.

Come back tomorrow when we find out where Bill and Ted went on their "Epic Journey."
